Voor een kind van twee, vier of zes voelt het als ruis. Alles vraagt tegelijk om aandacht, en niets vraagt het hard genoeg.<\/p>\n  <p>Kinderen komen niet tot spel door aanbod. Ze komen tot spel door een startpunt: \u00e9\u00e9n ding dat eruit springt, iets dat al half klaarligt, een hoek waar meteen duidelijk is wat je er kunt doen.<\/p>\n  <p>Ligt alles door elkaar, dan moet je kind eerst een beslissing nemen voor het kan beginnen. Dat kost energie die daarna niet meer in het spelen gaat zitten. En dus loopt hij door naar jou.<\/p>\n  <div class=\"blog-highlight\">Een kind dat niet speelt heeft meestal geen nieuw speelgoed nodig, maar een kleinere keuze.<\/div>\n  <h2>Wat je kunt doen als je kind niet met speelgoed speelt<\/h2>\n  <p>Het goede nieuws is dat je hier vandaag nog iets aan kunt veranderen, zonder iets te kopen.<\/p>\n  <ul>\n    <li><strong>Haal weg in plaats van erbij<\/strong>: laat zes tot acht dingen staan en berg de rest een paar weken op. In de meeste huizen komt het spel binnen een week terug.<\/li>\n    <li><strong>Zet iets klaar<\/strong>: een halfgebouwde toren, een puzzel al uit de doos, twee autootjes op een kleedje. Een uitnodiging werkt beter dan een volle kast.<\/li>\n    <li><strong>Kijk naar het soort spel, niet naar het speelgoed<\/strong>: blijft je kind hangen bij stapelen, bij nadoen, bij bewegen, bij dingen in en uit doen? Daar zit de ingang.<\/li>\n    <li><strong>Speel drie minuten mee en stop dan<\/strong>: veel kinderen hebben alleen een zetje nodig, geen speelkameraad voor het hele uur.<\/li>\n    <li><strong>Check het niveau<\/strong>: te makkelijk verveelt, te moeilijk frustreert. Spel ontstaat net op de rand van wat je kind al kan.<\/li>\n  <\/ul>\n  <h2>Als het aan het speelgoed ligt, en niet aan je kind<\/h2>\n  <p>Soms klopt het speelgoed gewoon niet meer. Een kind van drie dat al een jaar dezelfde vormenstoof heeft staan, speelt daar niet mee omdat die te makkelijk is geworden. Een bouwset die eigenlijk voor zes jaar bedoeld is, wordt na twee pogingen weggelegd.<\/p>\n  <p>Dat is geen miskoop en ook geen gebrek aan fantasie. Kinderen schuiven elke paar maanden op. Je kent je kind het langst.<\/p>\n  <h2>Begin vanavond klein<\/h2>\n  <p>Ruim vandaag drie kwart van de speelhoek op en zet morgenochtend \u00e9\u00e9n ding klaar op de mat.
